Poulets Joyeux (2024)
Poulets Joyeux is a site-specific work created as part of the artistic project "I re non toccano le porte" in the abandoned village of Castelponzone, in the province of Cremona. In this context, myself and other artists had the opportunity to work in an old house filled with memories and recollections. From the very beginning, I felt a strong connection to the rustic space, which, in the countryside, was traditionally used for agricultural machinery or to house animals. In response to the request to evoke what this village once represented, I decided to populate the rustic space with 104 "Poulets Joyeux," small joyful chickens that filled the environment, transforming it into a sort of refuge vibrant with life. This intervention aims to evoke a past where the village thrived with vitality, carrying with it a message of rebirth and continuity with the past.
