“Dipinti finti" (Fake Paintings) is an ironic term born from my initial skepticism towards digital art, a technique I long considered merely an intermediate step, a sort of sketch in preparation for a "real" painting. The lack of materiality, the absence of depth, and the intangible nature of the support led me to perceive my drawings as something anomalous, almost devoid of body. Over time, I realized that beyond the medium, the gesture remains the same: the hand moves with the same intention, the mark carries the same tension and urgency.
These works are instinctive, free, and direct. The acidic and unnatural colors reflect my harsher facets, translating tensions, memories, and emotions that emerge without filters.
